Useful education should work across devices, input methods, reading needs, and assistive technologies.
Our target
Spark & Seed targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as a product requirement, not a final visual check.
What this build includes
- A skip link and semantic page landmarks.
- Logical heading structure and descriptive page titles.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, quizzes, and controls.
- Visible focus indicators and touch targets designed around a 44-pixel minimum.
- Text summaries and tables alongside visual calculator and simulator outputs.
- Form labels, error messages, and live result regions for assistive technology.
- Colour contrast designed for AA and no instructions that rely on colour alone.
- Reduced-motion support for people who request it.
- Responsive layouts that support zoom and small screens.
Known launch work
Before public launch, the built site should receive manual keyboard testing, screen-reader testing across representative browser and device combinations, zoom/reflow testing, colour-contrast verification, automated accessibility scanning, and review of every downloadable PDF format.
External content
Linked websites and downloaded PDFs have their own accessibility. We prefer public sources and simple, print-ready downloadable formats but cannot control external experiences.
